Derek Parker

Derek Parker - Health Architecture Derek Parker, FAIA, RIBA, FACHA, received ACHA’s, 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award on November 9th in Washington, DC. Derek’s 45-year career as healthcare architect has been dedicated learning, discovery and education. He was a co-founder of the Center for Health Design and its Pebble Research Projects. Derek serves as President of Medergy, an enterprise which converts medical waste into useful energy that fuels hospitals. Derek has advised the Institute for Health Improvement and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation on their joint initiative for Transforming Care at the Bedside.

Derek Parker was presented with the Hamilton Medal at a special ceremony held during ACHA’s national luncheon program at 2008 Healthcare Design Conference.
